Furlough: Paint & Motivate

Not getting a paycheck is no fun!! I’m sure you know the government was shutdown for the longest in history. As a government employee myself for 24 years it hurt but it didn’t hit me much financially because of my savings. But, there are folks who do live pay check to pay check and having no income for a month can cause stress, anxiety, and depression for some. I began feeling the unfortunate effects from some of my friends. Therefore, I came up with this brilliant idea to give back and help those in need who struggle. So, I hosted a Furlough: Paint & Motivate event and I could not have pulled this off without some of my business colleagues and friends who donated FREE services and FREE money. 

Thank you to the Beechtree Community, my mother for putting food on the table. Guest Speakers Vikki and Jona along with a host of friends and family who believed in my vision, with no questions asked. Let me tell you God was in full control because the day of my event was the same day the government decided to re-open.
