Boy, You Missed it

If you’ve you missed Saturday’s Design, Mix & Mood at the McCormick Paints boy you missed a good one!!  Listen, we had so much fun networking with each other and everyone sharing how they struggle with choosing a color for the walls in their home. Of course, they could all relate to one another so it made bonding time with each other even more fun!!

The goal for this class is for me to show each attendee how they can express themselves by engaging their inner creativity to design their own home vision boards. It was on at that point, they were diligently focused as they dived right into the magazines to cut things that caught their eye, using the fabrics to layer it all on the board to show how they envision their home. How cool right? But, it gets better!!! Once their boards were complete, I then challenged each of them to select the color that would complete the look of their board and this was so hard for them to do. Only if you could see their faces. LOL!!

Let me say that I immediately explained to them they were all prohibited from picking a plain grey color. Oh! That made things even harder. All of them were becoming a bit frustrated, well, then I helped them in selecting a variations of color palettes to challenge them to think outside of the box. If you could only see the look on their faces when I was done. It went something like this, OMG!! I would have NEVER picked that color but it goes so well with the design on my board.

Let me tell you something, own your home project! Your vision we can execute even when YOU think it can’t be. The joy of being an Interior Designer who host events to educate homeowners on the art of selecting color is allowing you all to think outside of the box. Get Creative, Be Bold, Own your Color Story!

Now, check out the pictures below for the recap. If you attended the event we would love to hear about your experience. Wanna join the next one? Sweetie, Join my Tribe! #nayokasimone
